Following a reformat of my hard drive I could not get my Sony Camcorder to be recognised by my PC. I downloded endless drivers to no avail. I then came across UBCore and voila. Switched 1394 driver to Microsoft driver and away it went!

Many thanks for this utility. It has saved me many fruitless hours of searching and trial and error.
